Sandbar

Sandbar is an in situ video performance that engages with repetition and structures, both architectural and economic. It was shot at La Défense, the Parisian Business quarter.  I wanted to engage with the architecture of the stairs and the implication of their location, filming the piece like a trompe l’œil, as if it were a wall. This video is loosely inspired by the myth of Sisyphus and addresses themes of struggle and ascension (or lack thereof) of the social ladder.
